I was looking for a way to sync my Google Calendar with my Pocket Informant calendar on my Treo and came upon a few free programs that offer over-the-air, 2 way syncing. I'm sure there are other programs available, but I'm lazy so I didn't look very long at all.
The first one I tried was a program called OggSync. After syncing the first time, I noticed that my existing recurring events on my phone didn't show up on the Google calendar. Also, if you already have matching events in both your mobile and Google calendars then you will get duplicate entries. So, it's best to clean up both calendars before syncing. Obviously, I tried the freeware version which doesn't support syncing multiple Google Calendars, but it does sync past events up to 2 weeks old, and future events up t0 365 days in advance. There is a Pro version for $30 (too much) that offers multiple calendars and other features.
The second program I tried is one called GooSync. After syncing with this the first time, all the events on my phone that didn't get picked up by OggSync were successfully picked up and added to my Google calendar. Also, I couldn't find any duplicated entries. Excellent. The free version will sync future events up to 30 days in advance which is cool with me, but you can still only sync one Google Calendar. They have a Premium version offered at around $30. The Premium version offers an AutoSync which would be nice, and it syncs contacts, but I think $30 is still too much.
One other program I found is an open source tool offered on CodePlex called GMobileSync. I haven't tested it, but it's currently in version 1.3.6 so it might still be pretty raw. I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for updates in hopes it will offer features only found in the paid versions of OggSync and GooSync.
For now I'm going to stick with the free version of GooSync.
